BamBOOZEled? Our guide to getting your favourite drinks delivered

Part of the enjoyment of a great meal can be the right drink to accompany it and like us, you may not always have that waiting in the fridge. At Deliveroo, we try to cater for all occasions. You probably already know we can get some amazing desserts delivered to you, but did you know we can also grab you a drink or two? It's always great to get a glass of fizz to accompany your meal.

Yes, at Deliveroo we can deliver alcohol with some of your favourite restaurant dishes but there are a few guidelines you need to be aware of when ordering alcohol. Unfortunately, we are unable to carry too much with each food delivery so orders are limited to either six cans of beer or one bottle of wine. And please don't be offended if you look young enough to pass for under 25 and are asked for ID to prove you are over 18 – it's a compliment!

Not all our restaurants offer alcohol deliveries with their food orders but here are three great Melbourne restaurants that do.

Royal Stacks

There's nothing better than to kick back and watch a match or a movie with a nice cool beer with your favourite burger, and with these guys, we can deliver them both to your door.

We loved the Prince Harry burger, made with Australian pasture fed beef mince served with butter lettuce, a double helping of cheese, Swiss cheese and American cheddar. It's finished with a horseradish, shallot and gherkin mayo sauce. We ordered it with a side order of chili beef cheese fries and Coors beer to quench that thirst.

El Coco

Fancying something a little more romantic? Then El Coco might have the right offering for you. This Italian restaurant dishes up some fine Italian dishes that can be delivered with a selection of great wines.

Their extensive menu offers something for everyone, with pizzas, burgers, and parmas available. We enjoyed the Mexican twist of the classic parma, Mexican Parma. This deliciously crumbed chicken breast is served with Napoli sauce and nicely accompanied by jalapeno, sour cream, guacamole, corn chips, and cheese. We selected a full-bodied Pinot Grigio to complement this tasty dish.

Chimac Korean Bistro

Looking for something a bit more exotic, then maybe a dish from Chimac Korean Bistro might satisfy your appetite. Choose from their crispy fried chicken and Mexican-Korean fusion dishes. The chicken and beer packs here can cater from anything from one person up to a whole party, so why not invite some friends around?

We liked the variety of the Chimac Fever, which is the House Party Pack, as it came with a host of delicious dishes to share. This banquet included a whole chicken with a choice of flavours - we chose the stick sweetness of the Wonder Soy chicken that was infused with their special soy sauce. It also came with kimchi carnitas basket, irresistible shoestring chips served with spicy pork topped with cheese and salsa; meat filled Ta-Kor and crispy k-quesadillas. We choose to sample the Korean beers to add to that authentic Korean meal feel.

So there you have it - there's no need to go to the store to grab a drink to go with your favourite meals when you order with Deliveroo.
