Whether you want Italian in Gold Coast, Chinese food in Perth or American BBQ in Sydney we have every sort of cuisine you can think of in Australia. So, it makes sense that we would love any ingredient that can be used in all of the numerous cuisines, right? Sure does, which is why roasted cauliflower is appearing on menus all over the place these days. Roasted cauliflower is so versatile it can be used in almost any dish you can think of. Look, we even gathered proof:
1. The Corner House - Roasted Cauliflower Dressing
At The Corner House in Sydney, there's an ever evolving menu that features pastas, pizzas and slow roasts all carefully sourced and prepared in true Italian fashion. Sides on offer at The Corner House include Roasted Cauliflower, Manchego, Almond and Poppy Seed Dressing – the perfect side salad to accompany your pizza, pasta or succulent meat dish. If you're more interested in a dish where roasted cauliflower is even more the star, there is also an available side where our trendy veg is accompanied by a sprinkling of almonds, truffle and manchego cheese.
2. Bondi Trattoria - Warm Roasted Cauliflower Salad
Over the last few years, vegetarian cuisine has become increasingly popular in Sydney, encouraging many established eateries to introduce veggie options to their menu. This is the case over at Bondi Trattoria, where there are plenty of traditional Italian dishes with a vegetarian twist. The Warm Roasted Cauliflower Salad, complemented by plenty of lentils, juicy dates, almonds and creamy harissa yogurt, is especially tasty. Although we don't blame you if you opt for one of their extremely delicious pizzas as well, we won't tell.
3. Vecchia Roma Italian Restaurant - Pork Pappardella with Roasted Cauliflower
Meanwhile, in Gold Coast they seem to have completely thrown portion control out the window and they are finally bringing back those generous Italian servings. At least, this is the case at Vecchia Roma Italian Restaurant, where there's more traditional Italian food than you can shake spaghetti at. The Pork Pappardella, an undeniably delectable dish made with slow cooked pig ragu, spinach, peas and our fav of the day roasted cauliflower, all topped off with brandy sauce.
4. Babu Ji - Kukuri Cauliflower
Last but certainly not least, we have a dish straight from Babu Ji in Melbourne. We've written in the past about how great the Italian cuisine scene is in Melbourne, but there's also plenty of great Indian restaurants there too. At Babu Ji, not only do they offer patrons a wide range of Indian curries, rice dishes and sides, but also some Indian street food. One of these dishes is Kukuri Cauliflower, crispy rolls packed full of roasted cauliflower and three cheese pea puree. Grab 'em and go for the ultimate roasted cauliflower snack.
