We've recently introduced confirmation codes for some orders on Deliveroo, meaning you may be asked to provide a unique two-digit confirmation code to your delivery rider. The confirmation code will be displayed in your Deliveroo App once your order has been placed. This is in place to confirm the order has been delivered and ensures that everyone receives their correct orders and there aren't any mix ups.
Here's a few helpful tips on giving your order confirmation code to the rider, so you know what to do when your order arrives.
How to give the rider your order confirmation code
- Remember to check your Deliveroo App when you place the order to see if a confirmation code is required. If it is, please keep your phone close by while you wait for your rider. Don't forget to take the code with you when you go to the door when your rider arrives!
- You will need to give the rider your order confirmation code shown on your Deliveroo App once you accept delivery of your order. As a reminder, Deliveroo's contactless delivery process is still in place to keep us all safe; we recommend you stay at least two metres away from the rider when you read out the code.
- If the rider forgets to ask you for your confirmation code, please try to let them know they need one to complete the order on their end.
Remember, you will only need to provide your rider with a confirmation code for certain orders, you won't need to do this every time you order. Keep an eye out in your Deliveroo App for when the code might be required, and don't forget to take your phone with you when you accept delivery!
