Salute to all residents of Darling Harbour. Not only are you blessed with one of Sydney's most gorgeous locations, you've also got your pick of some of the city's finest restaurants. Korean, Italian, Indian, Aussie – whatever you're looking for, we've got you covered. Deliveroo delivers culinary classics from Darling Harbour's finest right to your door. Interested? Let's see what's going on:
The Spice Room
Bringing elegant Indian street food to the streets of Sydney, The Spice Room is Darling Harbour's premier destination for exotic cuisine. Their butter chicken, marinated overnight and cooked in the restaurant's on-site tandoori oven, literally melts in your mouth, while the palak paneer is the perfect starter for Darling Harbour's resident veggies. Choose from seafood, chicken, beef, lamb and vegetarian curries, and wash the whole thing down with a refreshing strawberry and rose lassi. With a menu the size of an epic poem, you won't be disappointed with a meal from The Spice Room.
Serving up kingly Korean dishes, Arisun is the choice of foodies throughout the city. Sun's out, buns out. The fried buns with condensed milk make for an excellent starter. Arisun's titanic menu gives you plenty of choices when it comes to your mains. The original fried chicken is a Sydney legend, while the Arisun black bean noodles are one of our all-time faves.
3. Osteria Emilia
So, what's the deal with Osteria Emilia? This tiny little corner of Italy within walking distance of Darling Harbour is one of Sydney's finest restaurants, serving food made from fresh and seasonal local ingredients. Try the gorgeously rustic tagliatelle ai funghi porcini, served with wild mushroom sauce, or get stuck into a slow roasted osso buco. Served with gremolata and mashed potatoes, it's a true testament to the traditional Italian cuisine which Osteria Emilia is all about.
4. Hurricane's Grill Circular Quay
Hurricane's Grill Circular Quay's flame-grilled fare is the stuff of fantasy. For ribs and steak that blow the rest out the water, it's the only option. The New York strip steak is absolutely stunning. It's made from Angus and Hereford cattle from the Riverine district of NSW which have been grain fed for a minimum of 120 days. Tender and intensely marbled, it's a joyously juicy Aussie classic.
5. Max Brenner
On a diet? Stay away. Stay far away. Because the delicious desserts on offer at Max Brenner are, frankly, unreasonably tasty. The Tutti Frutti waffle served with ice cream, strawberries and bananas gets the job done, while a chocolatey coma awaits anyone who tries the spectacular choc-fudge brownie sundae. Oh, and we must talk about their 'pizza with a crunch.' Does anyone want to guess? Well, it's a pizza, with a couple of very minor adjustments. Swap out the tomatoes for pure melted chocolate, the cheese for marshmallows and the toppings for caramelised pecans, white chocolate drops and cornflakes. It sounds wrong, doesn't it? So, so wrong. So wrong it's right.
